LMS TDM Probe

Monitoring of E1, PRI and BRI

The LMS Probe is a rugged device that is suited for industrial applications. It is enclosed in an aluminium housing and is provided with an external 220V power supply. These devices are distributed in the field and connected via LAN (Ethernet) or WAN (ISDN S0, POSTS, GSM/GPRS or ISDN inband) with the central AMIRA Management System. The communication is based on standard protocols.

The operating state can be seen at an LED at the front. The LMS Probe may optionally be equipped with an LCD screen at the front. Simple configurations may be performed locally with one-button operation and menu guidance.

The LMS Probe is equipped for advanced, comfortable. local operation with a Web server, which can be called via LAN or WAN connection.

The basic configuration of the LMS Probe has a 10/100 MHz Ethernet connection and serial interfaces.

Optionally, additional interfaces for communication and/or test applications such as logging of external criteria can be added:

  • S0 interface with EDSS-1 protocol
  • POTS (a/b) Modem (V.90, Fax G3)
  • Triband GSM/GPRS adapter (fax G3, SMS, CSD, GPRS Class 10, PBCCH support)

The LMS Probe can further be equipped with different WAN interface cards:

  • Quadruple E1 interface card for monitoring applications involving two E1 interfaces or test applications on up to four E1 interfaces. Protocol: EDSS-1, optional protocols for monitoring applications V5.2 or SS7
  • Quadruple ISDN basic connection card S0 for monitoring of two S0 interfaces or test applications involving four S0 with EDSS-1 protocol
  • U-interface for monitoring of a U-interface in repeat mode (looped-in)
  • POTS interface card for monitoring one or two POTS (a/b) interfaces
