Distributed communication traffic analysis
The line monitoring system LMS satisfies all requirements for building a networked system that is linked via LAN/WAN interfaces using IP protocols. It can be used as monitoring system with TDM and IP interfaces in telecommunication networks. The total system consists of the remote LMS Probes and the superior control unit AMIRA Management System. The AMIRA management system has an integrated SQL database and may consist of a single or a multi-location system.

Line monitoring applications
The LMS Probe is connected passively and with high impedance (>20 dB) to the line to be monitored. As described above, the probe communicates via another interface (Ethernet, ISDN or in special cases inband via a monitored line) with the AMIRA Management System.
Applications:
- Line monitoring with alarming
- SLA monitoring
- call data recording (CDR)
- Protocol monitoring
- Inband traffic data analysis
- Non-intrusive voice quality evaluation
- Monitoring of leased lines
The various application functions can be individually used or they may be combined with other functions. LMS is used as a powerful base for alarming in the event of fault conditions or for statistical presentation of different aspects of communication lines.
